Chirr is a free ambient sound mixer that lets you layer multiple sounds to create your perfect background noise. No account needed — just pick your sounds and hit Play.

Choose a Curated Vibe — Pick a preset like "Rainy Study"
or "Cozy Night" to instantly load a pre-balanced mix, or start from scratch.

Adjust individual sounds — Click any sound icon to toggle
it on at 50%, then drag the slider to fine-tune its volume in the mix.

Hit Play — Press the Play Mix button or tap the spacebar.
All active sounds loop seamlessly together.

locally, or "Share Mix" to copy a link with your exact settings for others.

Yes. Every sound in Chirr is a seamlessly looping audio file. There are no
noticeable gaps or repeats — the audio plays continuously until you stop it.
The ambient sound files are sourced from Blanket, an
open-source Linux app by Rafael Mardojai CM, and are served via CDN. All sounds are
open-source.
Yes. Chirr is fully responsive and works on all modern mobile browsers. On iOS,
you'll need to tap a button first to allow audio playback (this is a browser restriction, not a
Chirr limitation).
No. Saved mixes are stored only in your browser's localStorage — they never
leave your device and no data is sent to any server. Use the "Export Backups" option in Settings to
save your mixes as a JSON file and import them on another device.
Click the stopwatch icon in the header and pick a duration (15m, 30m, 45m, 1h,
1.5h, 2h, or custom). A countdown banner will appear at the top. When time runs out, all sounds fade
out gradually over ~3 seconds, then playback stops automatically.
Yes! Click "Share Mix" at the bottom of the tool. It generates a URL with your
exact volume settings encoded as parameters (e.g.
?rain=65&storm=20). Share the
